BISHOP RON

Bishop Ronald D. Alexander was born in 1969 and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. From an early age, he was deeply rooted in the life of the church. He grew up as an active member of New Independent Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Sylvester Pigues, serving faithfully in multiple capacities — most notably as an Associate Minister and Young Adult Choir Director. These formative years shaped his love for ministry, worship, and the people of God.

On October 8, 2000, Bishop Alexander became the pastor of what was then New Prospect Church, now known as Divine Purpose Church. Since that day, he has led God’s people with love, encouragement, and unwavering commitment. Under his leadership, the church has experienced spiritual growth, structural development, and significant expansion. He has overseen major improvements to the worship facilities, purchased 5.13 acres of adjacent land, and launched a new building project in 2021.

He also founded and operated the Divine Purpose Charter Bus Ministry (dissolved in 2020 to prepare for the new building project). In addition, he is the Founder and Presiding Prelate of Divine Ministries International Fellowship, Incorporated (D‑MIF) and the D‑MIF School of Ministry, both extensions of Divine Purpose Church.

In 2026, Bishop Alexander expanded his ministry reach by establishing BRAM — Bishop Ron Alexander Ministries, a leadership, teaching, and mentorship platform designed to equip pastors, leaders, and believers with structure, clarity, and spiritual excellence.

Bishop Alexander is also a published author. He has released two impactful books:

  • Small But Structured, emphasizing the power of order, discipline, and intentionality in ministry and life.

  • Gaining Elevation From Frustration, a transparent and empowering journey guiding readers from seasons of struggle into spiritual and emotional elevation.

In addition to his written works, Bishop Alexander is a recording artist and producer. In 2024, he released a full album with Bishop Ron Alexander & The DP Chorale, showcasing his musical roots and his commitment to worship excellence.
