Divine Purpose Church is a non‑denominational, Bible‑based, autonomous church. We are self‑governed, following the pattern of Scripture, and we believe the Bible is our final authority in all matters of faith and life.
Below is a summary of our core beliefs.
1. The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It reveals God’s truth, His plan of salvation, and His standard for Christian living.
2. God
We believe in one true and living God who exists eternally in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in essence, distinct in role.
3. God the Father
We believe God the Father rules with love, wisdom, and providential care over all creation. He is Father to all who come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ.
4. God the Son — Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again in glory.
5. God the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, indwells, empowers, and seals every believer. He gives spiritual gifts and leads the church in truth and service.
6. Humanity
We believe mankind was created in God’s image but fell into sin through disobedience. Only God’s grace through Jesus Christ can restore us to fellowship with Him.
7. Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation includes:
-
Regeneration (new birth)
-
Justification (declared righteous)
-
Sanctification (spiritual growth)
-
Glorification (eternal perfection)
8. The Church
We believe the local church is a body of baptized believers, united in covenant, governed by Christ, and committed to worship, discipleship, fellowship, and mission.
9. Baptism & The Lord’s Supper
We believe baptism and communion are ordinances given by Christ to the church. Baptism symbolizes new life in Christ. The Lord’s Supper commemorates His sacrifice.
10. The Lord’s Day
We believe Sunday is the Lord’s Day, set aside for worship, devotion, and spiritual renewal.
11. The Kingdom of God
We believe the Kingdom is God’s rule in the hearts of believers and will be fully realized when Christ returns.
12. Last Things
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. The righteous will dwell with Him forever; the unrighteous will face eternal separation.
13. Evangelism & Missions
We believe every believer is called to share the Gospel and make disciples of all nations.
14. Christian Education
We believe spiritual growth requires biblical teaching, learning, and discipleship.
15. Stewardship
We believe Christians are called to honor God with their time, talents, and resources.
16. Cooperation & Unity
We believe in voluntary cooperation with other believers and ministries when it does not compromise biblical truth.
17. Religious Liberty
We believe God alone is Lord of the conscience and that church and state should remain separate.
18. The Family
We believe the family is God’s foundational institution, built on the covenant union of one man and one woman, raising children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
